Energy and Sustainability

We have extensive experience of, and insight into, net zero initiatives, circular economy strategies, planning policy compliance for energy and sustainability, whole life carbon analysis and other statutory requirements such as Building Regulations Part L and MEES. As licensed assessors, we can offer BREEAM, Nabers, Ska, WELL and FitWel assessments (including bespoke variants) for all building types.

We understand the commercial needs of all our clients and provide a rational approach to carbon and sustainability targets – meeting statutory obligations and client aspirations cost-effectively.

We are a low carbon consultancy with a practical approach.

Vertical Transportation

Lifts and escalators are a significant capital investment, often influencing the design and marketability of the building.

By utilising our experience, and our own in-house software design packages, we have successfully delivered bespoke solutions to ensure existing non-compliant installations satisfy current market expectations. This adds real value when repositioning existing assets.

Specialist Lighting

Our specialist lighting design service can be provided as part of a wider project appointment or as an individual service.

Lighting is a tool to enhance the architectural elements of any asset. When designed correctly, it will provide a safe, comfortable and efficient working/living environment. A well-presented lighting design allows buildings to be appreciated and to function effectively.

Professionally designed, a lighting scheme can enhance and distinguish the final product.

For the best results, an integrated design approach is required comprising appreciation of architectural intent and interior design coupled with engineering excellence.

mTT‘s specialist lighting design service provides an all-encompassing solution by providing an installed scheme which meets the client expectations for design, maintenance and energy efficiency.

We accomplish this by combining modern technologies with products to meet all criteria, including the challenges of ever changing building regulations.

Our lighting design services include:

  • Artificial Lighting Concepts & Design
  • Detailed Lighting Design and Specification Production
  • Lighting Control System Design
  • Natural Lighting Strategies
  • Louvre and Shading Control Solutions
  • Whole Life Costing and Energy Prediction

Facilities Management

We can provide managed services as part of a wider brief or as an individual service.

We believe that a design and installation is only as good as it operates. We assist our clients by managing the procurement of the maintenance contract and conduct regular audits. This ensures planned preventative maintenance is carried out and is not simply reactive measures which are costly and can ruin landlord/tenant relationships due to disruptions to service.

The correct care of engineering services is also key to prolonging their life. This can be valuable on the sale of the asset.

mTT is experienced in assisting clients with the procurement, implementation and audit of planned preventative maintenance service.

In detail, our services include production of the asset register and specification to the provision of planned preventative maintenance service, management of the tender process, support during contract implementation and on-going review, audit and technical support to both owner and operator.

mTT is also able to produce an emergency procedures manual for new and existing projects which include the emergency site procedure, emergency contacts and disaster recovery plan.

In addition, mTT can take ownership of the production of operation and maintenance manuals which is especially effective when combined with our commissioning management and planned maintenance services.
